Dr. Zachary Freer

I joined the practice in 2017, drawn by its strong reputation for clinical excellence and deep roots in the San Diego dental community. In 2023, I led the modernization of SDCE, introducing new technologies and systems to enhance the patient experience while preserving the high standards and values that have long defined the practice. My goal has been to ensure that SDCE continues to serve as a leader in endodontic care—both in the quality of our outcomes and in the relationships we build with patients and referring providers.

My academic background includes a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where I received a comprehensive education grounded in evidence-based care and multidisciplinary collaboration. I then completed my specialty training in Endodontics at the UCLA School of Dentistry, gaining advanced clinical and surgical skills in the diagnosis and treatment of complex cases.

Outside of the office, my life is happily full. I’m the proud father of two energetic daughters whose adventurous spirits keep me constantly on the go. When I’m not shuttling them between activities, I enjoy cooking, surfing along the San Diego coast, and unwinding with a good movie night at home with my incredible wife.
