Dr. Zachary Freer

I joined the practice in 2017, drawn by its reputation for clinical excellence and deep roots in the San Diego dental community. In 2023, I led the modernization of SDCE, introducing new technologies and systems to enhance the patient experience while preserving the standards that have long defined the practice. I am a certified endodontist, with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and specialty training in Endodontics at the UCLA School of Dentistry, where I gained advanced clinical and surgical skills in diagnosing and treating complex cases.

Outside the office, my life is happily full. I'm the proud father of two energetic daughters whose adventurous spirits keep me constantly on the go. When I'm not shuttling them between activities, I enjoy cooking, surfing along the San Diego coast, and unwinding with a good movie night at home with my wife.

I am a certified endodontist. I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Nebraska, followed by advanced specialty training in Endodontics and a Master of Dental Science (MDS) from the University of Tennessee. Since completing my education, my professional focus has remained clear: delivering exceptional, patient-centered care through precision, compassion, and a commitment to clinical excellence.

In the office, I enjoy the problem-solving nature of endodontics and the opportunity to help patients find relief and preserve their natural teeth. Outside of work, I'm always looking for the next adventure, whether it's hiking the trails of Southern California, staying active outdoors, or exploring new corners of the world to satisfy my love for travel.
